The Segway Ninebot E22 and the Ninebot E45 are affordable scooters from Segway, with some key differences.
The E45 has an external battery built onto it for an extended range of 28 miles compared to E22’s 13.7 miles maximum range. Because of the external battery, the E45 is heavier compared to the E22. It weighs about 36.2 lbs, and the E22 weighs about 29.8 lbs approximately.
The E45 model includes a handful of minor upgrades that are set to improve your riding experience.
The E45 has a front spring suspension, while the E22 does not have any suspension system. Both models have 9-inches solid tires, but the tires on the E45 model are made of high-elastic material for better shock absorption.
The E45 also has a customizable atmosphere light package. You can select nine different flashing effects and tens of thousands of colors using the Segway Bluetooth App.

The Ninebot E45 is a better hill climber; it can climb up to 20% slopes. The Ninebot E22, on the other hand, can climb %15 slopes. The E45 can reach a top speed of 18.6 mph compared to E22’s 12.4 mph top speed.
